One club, every team, entered once.

Football club and team management software keeps a record of each club, the teams it runs and the competitions those teams enter. In LeagueUnion a club can run several teams, each team enters a competition online with a responsible captain, and its fixtures, results and standings attach to that team.

Example data

The same club gets typed five different ways.

A club with a first team, a reserve side and a women’s team often appears under different names across fixture lists, tables and entry forms, so results and player records fail to line up.

Entries arrive by email with no named person responsible, and the week before kick-off is spent finding out who is actually in charge of each side.

How it works in LeagueUnion

  1. Create the club

Record the club once, with its details and home venues.

  2. Add its teams

Each team is defined by its club, its category and its squad, so its name stays consistent everywhere.

  3. Take entries

Open the competition for registration. Teams enter online with a responsible captain; you manage capacity and withdrawals, then lock the field.

  4. Play the season

Fixtures, results and the table attach to that team for the season and in the archive.

Questions organisers ask

What is the difference between a club and a team?

A club is the organisation; a team is one side it enters into a competition. A club can run several teams, and LeagueUnion keeps them linked.

Can teams register for a competition online?

Yes. The organiser opens a competition for entries and teams register online with a responsible captain. The organiser manages capacity and withdrawals, then locks the field before the schedule is finalised.

Who is responsible for a team?

Every entry has a responsible captain, who is the named contact for that team and manages its squad.
